Reiki medic-care offer a confidential and easy-to-use service providing Reiki treatments without cost.
Our team are fully insured and certified Reiki practitioners who deliver Reiki remotely to fit in with busy schedules.
HOW REIKI MEDIC-CARE STARTED
Reiki Medic-Care was originally inspired in the summer of 2019 by a conversation between a Reiki team and a matron at one of the UK’s busiest teaching hospitals and trauma centres. The matron wanted to find a way to give Reiki support to her nurses, recognising that finding the time for hands-on treatments was the greatest hurdle.
Other medical professionals requested such a service too, believing that Reiki can make a difference to their wellbeing and lower stress levels.
THE REIKI MEDIC-CARE PRACTITIONERS
All our Reiki practitioners are volunteers who are insured for public practice in the UK. They are members of Reiki Council* professional organisations who have signed up to codes of conduct and practice. They may also be registrants of accredited registers, such as the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
All Reiki Medic-Care practitioners will be using standard Usui Reiki during the 20-minute treatments. The treatments are designed to be delivered by a team of up to eight practitioners when you are off duty, at the times you have requested.
Reiki has been shown in peer reviewed journals to reduce stress and anxiety and improve sleep. Every session that is sent will focus on supporting common key areas of the body which are subject to everyday stress.
All treatments are free of charge. They come to you as a ‘thank you’ from the organisers of Reiki Medic-Care including Dr Ann Baldwin PhD, the Reiki community and members of the public who have donated to the set up costs and development of this website.
